My wife Anne and I live in Vermont and have lived for many years in Nevis, West Indies. Anne is also an artist.

I enjoy looking at any kind of art, including sculpture and ceramics, and talking about it. I have been fortunate to be a part of several art groups and to have had the opportunity to teach over the past few years.

Regarding my own work, it is explorative. I often start loosely, without much direction, laying down areas of color. As I move forward, I may revisit the subject, or site, and study the light or detail and do whatever is required to continue. I am often struck by the stillness of things. I like to observe the solitude and grace of buildings, places, people, animals and even objects.
