I am happy to have been accepted in to the Front gallery in Montpelier as of August 2023. This is a unique collective gallery. Currently there are more than 20 members, each exhibiting in solo shows every other month along with group shows in the intervening months. Artists demonstrate distinct styles and media. The current group show, highlighting new member work, will end on Sunday August 28th.

Currently I have "Lime Sherbet" at the "ice cream castles in the air" show at Linda Roesch Visual Arts Gallery at AVA. Please contact AVA for more information: http://avagallery.org
(As a side note, this gallery, previously named Carter-Kelsey, has been the location of several shows, always interesting, each one with a specific theme. I've been happy to exhibit my work there: "Joy"in "Fireflies and Freeze Tag" show, "Covid Magic" in "Tethered by Light" show, "Faith" in "Looking Up" and "Morning Light" in "The Thing With Feathers".)
Anne and I will be showing at Towle Hill on Saturday August 5th and Sunday the 6th. The opening will be from 4pm to 6pm Saturday afternoon. Towle Hill Studio is a lovely Vermont location and the barn is special. I am currently represented by Matt Brown Fine Art. Please visit Matt's website to see work available at the gallery in Lyme NH: mbrownfa.com. This work includes pastels completed over summer 2022 as well as oils on panel.
About my work, Matt writes "Much of Jonathan’s work is imaginary, or remembered. He paints well-used objects, small toys, stuffed animals, people and places that he knows well. Though he makes figurative and landscape paintings, that imagery is usually motivated by other ideas he is working toward: humor, hope, or, with Covid, isolation and distance."
